Honors Colleges and Programs recruit and produce some of the most academically talented students at a university. Yet, these students may be overlooked or under supported and too often face negative stereotypes. It is pivotal to study Honors Programs and Colleges historically in order to inform practice and how to best provide for the dynamic needs of these high-achieving students. In addition to covering the general evolution of Honors, this project features a case study of an Honors Program at a small, private, liberal arts university and an Honors College at a mid-size public university.
