The past year has brought many challenges to international students studying in the United States. The goal of this session is to help attendees feel more confident working with students in F-1 and J-1 status, through gaining a better understanding both of the baseline regulations affecting this population, and of the many new challenges that have arisen in the past twelve months. Participants will analyze several case studies, illustrating how faculty and staff in and outside a university's international office have a role to play in supporting international students whose academic and career plans might be impacted by policy changes.
