Strategies to Improve Mental Health Advocacy on Campus: A Case Study of BGSU's Office of Health and Wellness
Benta Ayungo

Concurrent Session #4

This session reveals how to improve mental health advocacy on campus by examining how Bowling Green State University's Office of Health and Wellness has been successful at doing this. This success has been attributed to our wellness programs, including our peer-led Wellness Ambassadors, our popular PAW therapy dog program, one-on-one Well Being Coaching, and training courses like Mental Health First Aid training and QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) training. At the end of this session, attendees will understand how these strategies have  what worked for us and how they can start adapting these ideas for their own campus community.
