Building Bridges Not Silos: Creating Meaningful Campus & Community Partnerships

Partnerships are key to supporting student well-being, engagement, and success. This interactive session will explore how cross-campus and community collaborations between departments, student organizations, and external agencies can enhance programming. Participants will examine real-world case studies, such as a programmatic collaboration with the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, training partnerships with Residence Life and the Counseling Center, and initiative promotion with student organizations. Participants will also discuss common barriers to collaboration, and engage in a hands-on planning activity. Attendees will leave with practical tools, including outreach templates and planning frameworks, to help initiate or strengthen partnerships on their own campuses.
