OCPA represents every public and private college and university in Ohio. We serve all institutions and their students: some of the nation’s largest public institutions; small independent colleges; religiously affiliated universities; and local community colleges. We have over 200 members, from University Vice Presidents to graduate students. Our membership is inclusive of a multitude of professional areas, including housing and residence life, Title IX and sexual violence prevention, student wellness, career development, student advising, academic affairs and much more. Geographically, our membership is spread throughout the state.
We have made changes to how we operate, including our annual conference, held every year since 1977. We are hosting the annual conference at the Hilton Columbus/Polaris, on February 9-10, 2026. Our conference focuses on putting into action what we, as a profession, learn and discover. This can be using new data we have to improve student outcomes, shifting budgets to reflect new priorities, or trying a new supervision style because our work has changed. We hope to advance the field, and in turn, student learning and development, by encouraging our peers and colleagues to grow in new ways and turn words into action.
To continue our impact, we are asking for your support. For example, you can sponsor specific sessions and events, which will include the opportunity for presenting naming rights. Your organization may also participate in sponsorship of educational sessions or meals where you have the opportunity to present to our membership. We look forward to your support of our membership, annual conference, and professional development opportunities.
