With the Careers Conference just around the (virtual) corner, this year’s conference planning team wanted to provide you some additional tips & information make the most of your conference experience:
Our virtual platform is Microsoft Teams—the conference, hosted in conjunction with Ohio University, will occur fully virtually. You will soon receive an invitation to join the conference Team. If you do not see it, please try logging out and logging back in. (This is especially important for those who use Teams at their current institution.) Additionally, see these Virtual Conference Tips on how to use Microsoft Teams with details about closed captioning and more.
Consider virtual conference etiquette. We encourage all attendees to tune into our virtual space ready to engage actively. Unless otherwise requested by the presenter we suggest turning your video on and muting your microphone as you are able. Consider what is visible behind you and use a virtual background if you’d prefer. Work-from-home casual attire is encouraged.
Review the schedule of bridges to your future and map out which you’d like to attend. As with any conference, there is likely more to see and do than you have time for. Make the most of this choose your own adventure experience by being strategic in your program selection. You can view the full schedule at-a-glance at this link.
