We are seeking volunteers to join the 2022 Annual Conference Planning Team. We have a variety of opportunities for volunteers to contribute to the conference and build lasting connections with colleagues from across the state. A brief description of each sub-committee of the planning team is found below:
- Assessment: Develops post-conference assessment and designs and administers the data-collection process. Also promotes assessment and proposes completion incentives.
- Career Resource Room: Manages the Career Resource Room, which conducts mock interviews and resume reviews for conference participants. Responsible for staffing the room and soliciting qualified volunteers to serve as mock interviewers and resume reviewers.
- Educational Sessions: Reviews program proposals and selects sessions for presentation. Works with the logistics committee to assign sessions to time blocks and rooms.
- Faculty & SSAO Involvement: Assists with the development of specialized opportunities for Faculty & SSAO attendees. Works with OCPA board members responsible for those areas to encourage Faculty & SSAO involvement and support of the annual conference.
- Logistics: Assists with all on-site operations during the conference, including providing support and troubleshooting of technology and assisting presenters.
- New Attendees & Volunteers: Develops specialized programming and opportunities for first-time attendees and manages/assigns volunteers to support roles during the conference. Works with other committees to determine their volunteer needs.
- Publications & Marketing: Works with the OCPA Communications Chair and the Association Communications Team to promote and market the annual conference. Develops all needed conference schedule/program guide materials.
- Silent Auction: Solicits items from members/institutions to be auctioned off at the Silent Auction. Coordinates volunteers to staff the silent auction during specific times during the conference.
