The current cohort of high school and college students are considered part of Generation Z, or the iGeneration, the group born between 1997-2012. Raised on the internet and social media, these young people are the first generation to have grown up wholly in the digital era.
As faculty and staff, finding ways to relate to the varied generations represented by the different cohorts of students can present unique challenges. This workshop will equip you with the information you should know about the current generation of high school and traditional-aged college students. Learn how to keep their attention, what their interests are, how they communicate, and identify ways to engage and motivate the Gen Z students you interact with every day.

You're invited to join SOCHE for the fifth event in our 2021-22 virtual lunch and learn series. This seminar, entitled "How Can I Relate to Gen Z?" will take place on Thursday, March 10, beginning at 12 p.m. The session will be presented by Angelica Kennedy, M.Ed., office manager for the executive suite at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College.

Cost: $10 for SOCHE members and OCPA members*
Students: $5
